Poll: Californians concerned about obesity in children
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Adults know California's children are getting heavier -- and they're ready to do something about it, according to a recent poll.
A Field Poll released today showed that Californians consider poor eating habits among the greatest health risks to kids in the state, second only to illegal drugs. Nine out of 10 respondents said the problem of childhood and teenage obesity is serious.
Like the average person is really going to say no when some stranger calls them up and asks if they're concerned about childhood obesity. "No, I'm not concerned. Put me down in the 'troglodyte' column."
