By the way, what exactly is the racial discrimination in saying "brain dead Caribbean hitters?" Isn't "Caribbean" a legitimate descriptive designation of geographic nature. Like saying "American brain dead hitters" which is the rest of the roster. I guess all of the popular French bashing we've been doing lately is racist.

I remember being annoyed at the use of accents in players' names on the Yahoo fantasy baseball site; my searches for Rodriguez or Gonzalez would fail because they did not match the accented character.
It's too bad the Giants players are offended by having Latin players criticized, but not by entirely apt criticism of their awful play. Don't want people to call you a "brain dead hitter hacking at slop"? Then stop swinging at pitches at eye level.
